CAPS Objectives
The objectives of the College of Adult and Professional Studies are to:
1. Provide educational opportunities to students who need or desire a liberal arts background.
2. Provide the background to launch or further a variety of professional careers.
3. Provide students with opportunities to develop leadership abilities.
4. Challenge students to develop in character.
5. Provide students with a comprehensive yet practical education through an intensive curriculum.
6. Provide training in the skills required for effective decision-making, critical thinking, and formulating short- and long-range plans..
7. Extend degree-earning opportunities to people whose current responsibilities, do not permit them to spend major blocks of time "in residence" on campus.
8. Provide an understanding of the importance of applying Christian principles in a professional environment.
9. Provide students with opportunities to advance their scholarship.
