Nursing - AS

The Associate of Science degree with a major in Nursing prepares the graduate for a career as a registered nurse whose nursing practice encompasses competent provision of direct nursing care to diverse patient populations with acute and chronic common health problems. Graduates are prepared for entry level health care positions and to continue their progression of education in a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing. The program is approved by the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Accreditation by the National League for Nurses Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) (800-669-1656 ext. 153) will be pursued. Upon successful passage of the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) the graduate will be granted licensure to practice as an RN.
