Certificate Programs
The College of Adult and Professional Studies offers four Certificate Programs. Certificates may be earned in the following areas by completing 15 credit hours in that area:

Criminal Justice
Any Criminal Justice course (CRJ) approved by the Liberal Arts and Elective Department. For the purposes of earning a Criminal Justice Certificate, ADC 210 Addictions Theory, PSY 250 Developmental Psychology, PHE 366 Alcohol and Drug Education, and SOC 246 Criminology are considered CRJ courses. A student may not receive credit for both SOC 246 and CRJ 246.

Religious Studies
Any Biblical Literature (BIL) courses,
Religion (REL) courses, or Philosophy (PHL)
Courses approved by the Liberal Arts and
Electives Division.

Certificates enable students to focus their elective requirements on specific career-oriented areas.
The Certificate area will be noted on the student's transcript.
Certificates are available to students in the baccalaureate and associate programs, and to students who are registered as unclassified students.
A Certificate requires 15 credit hours from the selected or equivalent courses.
9 of the 15 hours must be taken at IWU. (for degree seeking students)
A grade of C or better must be earned in each course.
