Full Course Descriptions

These are the courses that make up the IWU Career Builders for Educators program. Through IWU's CBE program, you will be taught a wide array of teaching strategies, theories, techniques, and methods to prepare you for the classroom.

The Career Builders for Educators program at IWU was created to move students quickly through the program, yet at a pace where students can learn the material well and maintain personal time with their families.

To accomplish this, the faculty members have created each Career Builders for Educators course in an accelerated format.
  • Most courses are four to five weeks long, meeting only on Saturdays.
  • Students take only one course at a time so they can focus their study on one topic at a time, except during the Student Teaching Experience which covers the entire semester.
  • Students stay together as a group
  • All students will be required to complete daily classroom experiences during the integrated student teaching experience course.
Some of the courses are online.
