ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Participants will:
- Have completed a master’s degree from a regionally accredited body or the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
- Be currently employed by a public or non-public school and/or have access to a central office experience.
- Hold valid teaching/building level administrator licenses.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience.
- Present at least two (2) letters of recommendation; at least one must be from a sitting central office administrator.
- Present a completed internship agreement with a school corporation.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better in graduate level courses.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully complete a minimum of 60 graduate hours, including 24 credit hours at IWU
- Successfully complete Educational Specialist Degree required coursework
- Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher in all program coursework
- Minimum grade of "B" in each course
- Successfully complete and orally present portfolio and defend thesis based on the ISLLC and IDOE standards for district level administrators and competencies
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully complete the Educational Specialist Degree Program
- Successfully complete the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA)
Note: Non-Indiana candidates need to contact their respective state licensing agencies to review necessary requirements to obtain a District Level Administrator (Superintendent) license.
