Application Procedures

To be considered for admission to Indiana Wesleyan University's Exceptional Learners Program, please complete each of the following steps. For more information, please contact a program representative at 866-IWU-4-YOU or aes@indwes.edu.

    1. Application
      Complete all portions of the application form at http://caps.indwes.edu/apply
      or, you may contact (866) IWU-4-YOU for an application packet.
    2. Application Fee
      A one-time, non-refundable $25 application fee must be included with your application. The $25 fee will be waived if paid with a previous program application. The fee is payable by check, credit card, or debit card. Payment of fee may be made with online application, called in to (866) IWU-4-YOU, or mailed to Indiana Wesleyan University, Adult Enrollment Services, 1900 West 50th Street, Marion IN 46953.
    3. Transcripts
      Indiana Wesleyan University will accept for its permanent file only those transcripts sent in a sealed envelope directly to IWU by the registrar of each institution attended. Official transcripts must exhibit the official seal and signature of the registrar. Transcripts that are stamped "student copy", "issued to student", or "unofficial" will not be accepted as official. An official transcript is required from each institution attended. Transcripts must be mailed to Indiana Wesleyan University, Adult Enrollment Services, 1900 West 50th Street, Marion, IN 46953 or faxed to 765-677-2404.
    4. Copy of License or Praxis I Scores
      A copy of a state-issued teacher license is required only if applicant has been licensed. Any applicant not holding an Indiana teacher license issued after July 1, 1985, will be required to submit copies of Praxis I scores. Please mail a copy of the license or Praxis I scores to Indiana Wesleyan University, Adult Enrollment Services, 1900 West 50th Street, Marion IN 46953 or fax a copy to (765) 677-2404.
    5. Limited Criminal History Information
      All applicants must submit limited criminal history information and give permission for sexual offender screening. Indiana applicants may apply online at http://www.in.gov/ai/appfiles/isp-lch/. A copy of the report may be mailed to Indiana Wesleyan University, Adult Enrollment Services, 1900 West 50th Street, Marion IN 46953 or fax a copy to (765) 677-2404.

Once all application materials have been received, your records will be evaluated and you will receive notice of your status from Student Services. When it is determined that you qualify for admission, you will be contacted regarding classes starting in your area.
