About the Program
The curriculum and instruction program leading to
a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) is designed to further develop the skills of classroom teachers. Development of practical approaches to educational challenges is a major goal of the program.
Completion of 30 semester hours at the graduate level is required for graduation. A core program, consisting of 11 courses and 30 semester hours, will be offered in sequence to cohorts of professionals.
The program is designed to provide maximum convenience to the candidate; courses are scheduled on Saturdays, registration may be completed by mail, tuition payment may be made with VISA and MasterCard, and books will be delivered directly to candidates. A Saturday morning orientation is held at the beginning of the program to introduce candidates to IWU and to give them and overall understanding of the Master of Education program.
