M.Ed. Resource Guide - CHAPTER 5: COURSE OVERVIEWS

Each of the ten integrated core courses in the M.Ed. program has been carefully sequenced to correspond with the other nine courses in terms of required components for the successful completion of this degree. Each course has also been reviewed multiple times by several faculty members to ensure a balance between traditional and non-traditional assessments and assignments. These steps in the design process for each course, conducted over a period of approximately 24 months, were followed to achieve a greater degree of consistency in content coverage as well as to attain an improved sense of the fidelity of program implementation.

Overviews of each course, including their required program components, are shown on the following pages. Candidates and faculty alike are encouraged to read through these overviews carefully in order to gain a gestalt, or overall sense of the program as a whole.
