Ways in which this class incorporates world changer ideas:

World-Changer Group Project/Presentation

At the first group meeting, have each group member talk about social issues that have affected him/her.  Among these possibilities, select one issue to investigate. It is preferred that you choose something that is not discussed specifically in the text.  At the first meeting, make a plan of action about how you will investigate this issue and implement a solution. Consider volunteering at a local agency that works with this issue.  If no local agency exists, consider implementing something yourself.

Your final presentation will be a 10-20 minute discussion of:

  • The group's analysis of the problem (including at least 10 bibliographic resources)
  • A Christian perspective on the issue
  • Ways in which Christians (and others) are implementing a solution to the problem
  • The group's recommended solution
  • A description of how the group has worked toward implementing a solution

A formal paper is not required. However, you should submit an outline and resource list in workshop five.
