World Changer Initiatives

Ways in which this class incorporates world changer ideas: 

 

A new assignment has been added to this module to enhance the world changer concept.  Students are instructed to choose a Biblical leader and to analyze this person in relation to the world changer concept.  Students identify traits in this Biblical leader that allowed them to change their world.  These traits must then be applied to Nursing Leadership.  After all students have presented their material to the class, the class creates a composite list of world changing traits identified in these Biblical world changers.  This list becomes the source for much discussion on nurse leaders and their ability to emulate these ideals.

 

Another addition to this course also enhances the world changer ideology.  We have incorporated a discussion on servant leadership using Dr. Jim Laub's model on servant leadership. All facilitators who teach this course will receive a packet of information on servant leadership to make sure they understand the concepts.  My prayer is that facilitators will role model servant leadership to their students. Being a world changer begins with me.
