Attendance Policy (choose the one that applies to your course)
a) If a student must miss more than one workshop in courses with 4
or 5 sessions, an "F" will be recorded. In this case, students should
officially withdraw from the course via Student Services prior to
the end of the course, and make-up the course with another core group.
b) If a student must miss more than two workshop in courses with more
than 6 sessions, an "F" will be recorded. In this case, students should
officially withdraw from the course via Student Services prior to
the end of the course, and make-up the course with another core group.
Your late work policy
(e.g., Students missing more than 30 minutes of class time forfeit
participation points for that workshop. Assignments are due at the
beginning of class. If you are unable to attend.....)
....................................
Team Work should generally count for no more than 20-30% of the total
grade for an APS course.
It is recommended that you NOT include anything that is already in
the Student Guide, as this often confuses the student as to
which document to use when preparing assignments for class. However,
it is helpful to specify your grading criteria for specific written
assignments on a separate sheet from the syllabus.
