About the Program

The Bachelor of Science with a major in Criminal Justice (BSJ) program requires a student to earn 42 credits in fifteen core courses and a total of 124 credits of course work. Within the core, there is an emphasis in Homeland Security. Students may receive credit for work experience that will count toward the required 124 credits. In addition, if credits are earned at a regionally-accredited institution or an Association for Biblical Higher Education College, they may transfer and count toward the 124 hours that are required for graduation.

With over 1200 occupational specialties available in law enforcement and homeland security, graduates with criminal justice degrees enjoy a wide range of career choices with great opportunities for lifelong advancement. As the world is increasingly beset by crime and terrorism, the need for highly trained leaders in the fields of criminal justice and homeland security has never been greater. Indiana Wesleyan's Bachelor of Science with a major in Criminal Justice (BSJ) program is designed to open opportunities and positions of leadership to those desiring to make this world a safer and more secure place for their fellow citizens. It is a need that is not likely to diminish in the foreseeable future, making it a growing and secure employment market for decades to come.
