ABOUT
In 2000 IWU's College of Adult & Professional Studies leadership decided to open a dedicated facility in Columbus to serve the growing need for an education center in south central Indiana. The Columbus Education Center is conveniently located downtown, minutes from anywhere in the city and five minutes from I-65.
The 8,000 sq. ft., two-story building offers five classrooms, three study rooms, computer lab, break area and lounge area. The Center also rents its rooms out to local businesses and organizations for conferences, workshops and meetings.
This is not your typical sterile, cinder block, tiled floor college classroom building. It has a high quality commercial office-building feel to it. Students find the classrooms, study areas, hallways and break areas beautifully decorated, carpeted and extremely comfortable and inviting after a long day at work.
The Columbus Education Center is now authorized to give CLEP and DANTES exams. To schedule your exam between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. contact Jim or Sandy.

CONFERENCE SERVICES
Since classes are held during the evening hours, the classrooms and break areas are available to small and large group rentals. The largest room seats 32 in classroom-style seating or 50 in auditorium-style seating. Combined, the classrooms can accommodate 150 guests.
The rooms are equipped with phone lines, white boards and projector screens. If you choose to not to bring your own AV equipment, we will gladly provide ours at a very reasonable rate.Special needs will gladly be handled by Jim or Sandy.
If your group has a need for catering, our friendly staff has compiled a list of local businesses willing to meet your food and beverage needs.

DIRECTIONS
From I-65 (south-bound)
Go to SR-31 (exit 76A). Turn left (east; south-bound SR-31) and go several miles toward Columbus until the road splits (you'll see a big sign that says "To downtown Columbus"). Turn off SR-31 and follow the road (Indianapolis Road) to downtown. Indianapolis Road becomes 8th Street in Columbus. Turn right (south) at Washington Street. IWU is a stand alone building on the right (west side),
near the southwest corner of Washington and 8th Streets.
From I-65 (north-bound)
Go to SR-46 (exit 68; Columbus exit). Turn right (east) and go to Washington Street in Columbus (2nd stop light across the river). Turn left (north) and go 5 blocks to IWU which is on the left (west; between 7th and 8th Streets). Parking is available to the left (south side) and behind IWU.
