ABOUT
Indiana Wesleyan University's stately
Fort Wayne Education Center is the highly visible three-story, colonial-style
office building on the east side of I-69 at exit 102. It is located
between Hampton Inn and Physician's Health Plan.
The Fort Wayne Education Center was
built in 1994 to meet the growing need for a dedicated campus in
the Fort Wayne community. The 37,000 sq. ft. structure has 16 classrooms plus admissions offices for the programs IWU's College of Adult &
Professional Studies offers.
This is not your typical sterile, cinder
block, tiled floor college classroom building. It has a high quality
commercial office-building feel to it. Students find the classrooms,
study areas, hallways and break areas beautifully decorated, carpeted
and extremely comfortable and inviting after a long day at work.
In addition to the classrooms, the
building provides students with:
- Lounge areas on the balconies of each floor.
- Computer lab with for studying and writing.
- Electronic library with Internet access to many databases for
research work.
- Break room with circular tables, and vending machines of snacks
and beverages.
- IWU apparel and memorabilia.

CONFERENCE SERVICES
You will find our center just what you are looking
for if you are in need of a comfortable environment with great flexibility
and workspaces. Our regular customers like the open feeling the
high ceilings and windows give in each meeting room. The large hallways
and comfortable break areas give guests a relaxed feeling during
breaks. The open staircase in the central lobby provides a view
to the balconies on all floors.
Our Fort Wayne Education Center is equipped to host
groups from two to 802. Our three largest classrooms can seat 200
each. Seating in each room can be arranged into many styles; board
room, conference room, lecture/auditorium or workshop.
Since IWU's adult classes are held during the evening
hours, the classrooms and break areas are available to small and
large group rentals during work hours and weekends. All rooms are
equipped with white board, built in projector screens, and phone
lines. Our AV equipment is available for a reasonable rent, if you
choose not to bring your own.
Special needs will gladly be handled by our conference
staff. We have caterers who can provide almost any combination of
food or beverage your group requires.

DIRECTIONS
Approach the west side of Fort Wayne on I-69. At
exit 102 (US-24 / West Jefferson Blvd.) Turn east (if north-bound
on I-69 stay in right lane on exit ramp; if south-bound on I-69
turn left at bottom of off ramp) onto West Jefferson Blvd. Travel
approximately ¼ mile east from I-69 to the first stop light (Verizon
sign on the corner). Turn right, and stay in right lane, as Olde
Canal Place becomes a frontage road that turns back to the west.
IWU is approx. ½ mile on your left, just past Physician's Health
Plan building and before Hampton Inn.
