ABOUT
Indiana Wesleyan University's beautiful
Indianapolis Education Center is a familiar sight to people who
regularly travel west on I-465 near Keystone Avenue. The two-story,
reflective glass building holds 26 classrooms which are filled every
weeknight with adult students.
Outside IWU's main campus in Marion the
Indianapolis Education Center is the largest education center IWU's
College of Adult & Professional Studies operates. The 50,000 sq.
ft. structure is situated on 4.5 acres with 274 parking spaces conveniently
surrounding it.
In addition to the classrooms, the
building provides students with:
- Six rooms for small group study.
- Three break areas scattered around the building for students to
relax in.
- Computer lab with 16 workstations for study and writing.
- Electronic library with Internet access to many data bases for
research work.
- Large lounge comfortably seats 100 around rectangular tables.
- Vending machines scattered throughout the building with snacks
and beverages.
- IWU apparel and memorabilia store.
This is not your typical sterile, cinder
block, tiled floor college classroom building. It has a modern commercial
office building feel to it. Students find the classrooms, study
areas, hallways and break areas beautifully decorated, carpeted
and extremely comfortable and inviting after a long day at work.
