Admission Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- An Associate Degree with a Major in Nursing with at least 60 credit hours from a regionally-accredited college
or university.
OR
An Associate Degree with a Major in Nursing from a proprietary college with a national accreditation.
A maximum of 40 credit hours of supporting science and nursing courses may be transferred.
OR
A diploma from a State Board of Nursing-accredited hospital school of nursing. Through the diploma credit
evaluation process, credit hours awarded (a maximum of 40 credit hours) may be counted toward the 60 required for
admissions to the core curriculum.
- Proof of active unencumbered RN licensure (USA).
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 from all previous college work.
- Original transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- Present part-time or full-time employment as a licensed RN or a minimum of one full year of prior part time or full-time employment as a licensed RN.

The BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate
Nursing Education (CCNE).
Indiana Wesleyan University is accrediated by the Higher Learning Commission* (HLC) and is a member of the North Central Association. IWU's bacalaureate and graduate nursing degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education** (CCNE) and approved by the Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio State Boards of Nursing. IWU is also a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculties, and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

Graduation Requirements
- A total of 124 credit hours including 30 credit hours of general education requirements as follows:
- 6 credit hours - Bible, Philosophy, or Religion (3 credit hours must be in Biblical Literature)
- 6 credit hours - English: English, Communications, Composition, Literature, or Speech
- 6 credit hours - Social Sciences: Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology
- 3 credit hours - Math or Science
- 3 credit hours - Fine Arts or Foreign Language: Art, Foreign Language, or Music
- 6 credit hours - General Education Electives
- Completion of the 40-credit-hour core program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in the major.
- Payment of all tuition and fees.
